The Canadian Table Sustainable Food Festival
Edible Canada and the Outlet Collection at Niagara have joined forces to host The Canadian Table, Canada’s first ever fire grilling festival focused solely on sustainable, Oceanwise Seafood and plant-based dishes. This festival will bring together some of the region’s best grill chefs along with some special guests, and have them test their skills with these vital, sustainable ingredients.
Chefs confirmed for this epic festival include:
• Top Chef Canada 2019 final four contestant, Hayden Johnson from Richmond Station in Toronto
• “Godfather of the Grill”, BBQ and Grilling master himself, Ted Reader with over 21 books to his credit.
• Food Network’s Fire Master’s Chef Victoria Alexander who brings who background from St Lucia around the fire with peppers and spices
• Local Fire Cooking Chefs Caitlin Bermuhler and Jess Marshall from soon-to-be STOKE restaurant – Saint Catherine’s first live fire restaurant.
Each day, attendees will have the chance to watch these chefs in action, purchase their dishes, and vote on the best! On top of that, a small artisan village will showcase local producers, and a beverage garden will feature Ontario wine, beer, cider and cocktails.
Two $500 bursaries for incoming Niagara College culinary students will be provided from revenues from the festival.
