QEW/Glendale Avenue Interchange Closures

As of Monday, September 26, 2022, the Divergent Diamond Interchange (DDI) at Glendale Avenue and the QEW is now open. This is the largest portion of the major highway upgrades that have been taking place over the last several years and will be fully complete by 2023.

In order to proceed with the next phase of the project, which will include constructing new off-ramps onto Glendale Avenue from the QEW, the Glendale Avenue exit is closed, and a detour is in place via Mountain Road and Taylor Road.

The QEW Niagara bound off-ramp will be closed for 4-6 weeks to complete the construction of the new permanent off ramp. A planned detour route will be available via Mountain Road and Taylor Road. The detour route is shown below:

The QEW Toronto bound on-ramp will be available via a temporary ramp on Airport Road, south of York Road. This detour ramp will be in place to allow for the construction of the new permanent on-ramp. The location of temporary detour route is shown below:

QEW Niagara bound on-ramp and QEW Toronto bound off-ramp will be open and in their final configuration.
